Lívia is a seasoned professional in the field of Intellectual Property, boasting a career that began in 2010 and has since flourished. She has been a member of the Daniel Law team, initially from 2012 to early 2017, and later rejoining as a Partner in 2018. Her expertise lies in guiding clients from the inception of their brand concepts through to the development, protection, enforcement and maintenance of robust intellectual property and trademark portfolios.
With a keen focus on strategic advice, Lívia specializes in trademark, unfair competition, trade dress, and copyright infringement cases. Her vast experience spans across diverse industries, including entertainment, technology, digital media, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, medical appliances, food and beverage, cosmetics, and fashion. Lívia has a remarkable track record of successfully assisting clients with fame declarations before the Brazilian PTO, a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication. Her expertise extends to instituting proceedings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and the Brazilian equivalent, the “Internet Conflict Administrative System” (SACI-BR).
Lívia is also adept at managing international trademark portfolios and creating customized global protection programs for clients. Her holistic approach extends to implementing effective, creative and cost-efficient enforcement programs. Additionally, she is skilled in negotiating various agreements, with a particular emphasis on coexistence agreements, purchase agreements, and asset transfers.
A member of the Brazilian Bar Association, registered in the States of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Lívia is also affiliated with the International Trademark Association (INTA).
