Lays has worked as an Intellectual Property professional since 2019, with experience combating crimes against Intellectual Property, especially anti-piracy.
Among her main activities, it can be highlighted her work with the Federal Revenue of Brazil in customs retention procedures; monitoring customs procedures; intelligence work gathering information about distributors of illicit goods in Brazil; drafting Criminal Complaints to trigger polices inquiries and alerting infringers of possible criminal measures enforcement; follow-up of police investigations; organization of raid actions in order to seize counterfeit products; organizing and conducting training sessions for nationwide public authorities regarding the counterfeiting and identification of genuine and counterfeit products; drafting Cease and Desist letters against infringements involving violations of trademarks, copyrights, industrial design and unfair competition; monitoring online infractions.
