Giselle Mauricio

Giselle is graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and graduated in Law from Universidade Estácio de Sá (UNESA), being a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and the Regional Chemistry Council (CRQ III). While studying Chemical Engineering, she has dedicated herself to the study of supercritical fluids and has presented the work “Sensitivity of calculating the solubility of a low-volatility substance in relation to saturation pressure data” at the 3rd Brazilian Congress of Chemical Engineering, as well as carried out as a final project the studies of irritability and economic viability of an antiseptic cream made from copaiba oil.

Giselle has worked with Intellectual Property since 1999 and joined Daniel Advogados as a Partner in 2018. Her expertise covers all aspects related to patent practice, with an emphasis on patent applications in the chemical field. Giselle works in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications, carrying out searches, technical assistance in legal actions, analyzing the validity of patents, analyzing the chances of allowance, preparing reports on freedom-to-operate/FTO, preparation of reports related to patentability analysis, technical analysis of written opinions and suggestions on how to proceed, presentation of third-party observations, acting in the administrative nullity procedure, participating in meetings with clients and Brazilian PTO’s examiners, training of interns and newly hired professionals, among others.
