OUR TEAM
Rafael has over 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property. After starting his career in the Legal Department of major Brazilian media corporation, he joined the Litigation team of a major Brazilian IP law firm. In early 2017, he became a partner to Daniel Law, where he has worked with patent and complex litigation ever since. Rafael has a master’s degree on Regulatory Law and teaches Patent Law at the IP post-graduation course of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
He is the author of several papers on IP within renowned local law reviews and magazines.
As a result of his hobby research at the university, Rafael wrote a book on Canon Law, which received the Nihil Obstat approval as well as an official recommendation from Cardinal Orani J. Tempesta, the Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro.

Postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, 2015), with a published paper on the production of technical evidence for Intellectual Property litigation in accordance with the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure from 2015;
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, 2013), with concentration on Litigation. Rafael received a scholarship for his academic achievements, including 1st place approval at the university admission exam, and a research scholarship from the Brazilian government for three consecutive years.
