Rafael has over five years of experience in Intellectual Property, divided between the Law Department of major Brazilian media Corporation and the Litigation team of a major Brazilian IP law firm. Joined Daniel Legal & IP Strategy as partner in early 2017 to integrate the complex litigation department. Author of several papers on IP within renowned local law reviews and magazines.
In addition, Rafael is the author of an unprecedented book on Canon Law, which received the Nihil Obstat approval as well as an official recommendation from Cardinal Orani J. Tempesta, the Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro.
Master’s degree in Regulatory Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV Direito Rio (currently underway).
Postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, 2015), with a published paper on the production of technical evidence for Intellectual Property litigation in accordance with the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure from 2015.
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, 2013), with concentration on Litigation. Rafael received a scholarship for his academic achievements, including 1st place approval at the university admission exam, and a research scholarship from the Brazilian government for three consecutive years.
