Brazil officially joined the hague system

The Hague System for International registration of designs came into effect for Brazil on 1 August 2023, making it one of the first South American countries to join the System. The adhesion process took around 2 years, having been approved by the Chamber of Deputies and the Brazilian Senate last year, followed by the official joining to the System, under provisions of the Geneva Act (1999), on 13 February 2023.
