Business development consultant focused on China, and specialist in international politics, public relations and business transactions, with extensive experience in political science, public policy and international law. Pedro has a notable academic background, having served as a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), a visiting researcher at the Centre for Asian Studies of the University of Aveiro (Portugal), and a researcher at the Centre for Brazil-China Studies of the School of Law of the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro (FGV Direito Rio), BRICS Policy Centre, and Southwest University of Science and Technology 西南科技大学 (China). He is the director of development and coordinator of the Workgroup for China-Brazil and Lusophone Relations at Observa China 观中国, as well as the author of various articles, books, or book chapters on topics related to Chinese and Brazilian domestic politics and foreign policies; Lusophony, Macau, and the Greater Bay Area; China-Brazil relations; global governance, South-South cooperation, and BRICS; and development, technology, culture, and society in China. Pedro has been living in Shanghai since 2023.
